When
a child is born, he or she knows nothing than to eat (sucking breast) because
that is the source of life (aside God) for the baby.
As
the child grows, s/he will begin to learn the norms and customs of the society
from the family where s/he is born: the issue of whether the child’s immediate
family understands societal values (properly) is not the child’s concern.
Rather, love and care is the utmost desire that s/he has.
This
is the life of every grown up person, whether teenager, youth or adult: all of
us are the products of our environment. Yet, we can influence our environment
to get what we need from it.
The formation period
that only God knows
According
to Jeremiah 29:11, the Bible said, “For I know the plans I have for you,"
declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to
give you hope and a future”. NIV.
As
one grows older, God will be forming
the future from the things that one is experiencing (in the society). Those
things are to cause a child to realise what s/he will become in the future: the
pains, sorrows, happiness, love and hatred (experienced) will form every child
into what God wants him or her to
become. This is why every child should be brought up in the knowledge of God so that when s/he grows up, s/he
will not turn away from it.
When
a child is trained to love God, s/he
will understand how to work under the guidance of the Holy Spirit (throughout his or her entire life).
As one grows to know
fear and failure: there is tendency to conform to ‘averageness’
Your
life is given to you by God; your
parents are (only) a passage for you to come to the world – they did not create
you but God did; people in your
environment were not there when God
allowed you to be formed in your mother; and nobody can (vividly) understand
the plans that God have for you, except you.
“But
you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who is giving you power to
make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers,
as it is this day.”
Deut 8:18, NASB.
From
this scripture, we can deduce that the ‘power’ God gives one to make wealth is not only the ability to move from
home to the office or to carry things around: they are the ideas that one uses
to make money in order to get the necessities of life.
However,
the truth remains that God will not
come down and do what we need to do for our lives to be better: He will give us
the ideas, and allow us to deploy them for profits. He will also listen to us
when we pray to Him (in the name of Jesus
Christ) to help our inabilities.
It
is because of this (God not directly
involved in solving our challenges without our efforts and prayers) that people
become easily wearied from presseure, fear and failure. Then, so many people
will start to give various suggestions on how to make things happen.
It
is our joy to inform you, our reader, that you (alone) can bring the success of
your future into reality by following the plans that God has for you, as well as, the vision that God has given you.
This
is not to say that you will not listen to constructive and relevant advices: we
should, however, know which advice to use and the ones to reject. Always go
back to God when you are confused or
discouraged and you will find the result refreshing.
Your
life was not designed to be average, but that you should live in your full
potentials. You will not be able to live your full potentials if you are swayed
from one place to another by people’s opinions or when you swallow every advice
‘hook, line and sinker’.
There is always a way
out of conformity
First
of all, we want you to know that Jesus
Christ is the way, the truth and the life.
If
you want to come out of the average mentality in which you live: you need Jesus; If you want to leave above fear
and failure mentality: you still need Jesus;
and if you want your life to be better than what it is now: you need Jesus.
Why do we harp on the
fact that you need Jesus?
According
to 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Wherefore
if any man is in Christ, (he is) a new creature: the old things are passed
away; behold, they are become new”. ASV.
It
is when you accept Jesus Christ that
your life will take a new dimension towards the plans of God for your life: that is when your understanding will (fully) be
opened to what God has destined you
for, and that is when you will be able to take the future (which God has
prepared for you) into your hands.
We call you to accept
Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour
